To be successful in affiliate marketing one of several things you need to master is Keyword Relevancy. Your keywords need to match your article or page that your keyword is for. For example, lets say you discover that iPhone is a hot keyword so you decide to use it even though your site is about gas grills. There is NO connection or RELEVANCY between your keyword of iPhone and gas grills. The search engines know this and will place your site at the end of the list where no one will ever see it.

Your goal is to get your site on the first page of the search engines AND this is not as hard as you have been led to believe. Check out Bring The Fresh if you are interested in learning how to get your site on page one of Google.

To dig for relevant keywords I use Market Samurai which is much more then just a keyword tool but this is what we’ll cover here today.

This is a little off topic but I came across this at Better Networking blog and wanted to share it with you.

For those who have your own personal blog, create a little bit of something special using a custom Favicon.  Have no idea exactly what a Favicon is?  Look up at your browser’s address bar …see the small icon to the left of the RobertFriedrich dot org url?  That’s the Favicon.   Design one for your own personal blog or website in less than a few minutes.

Dependant on your blog theme, everyone ought to be able to effortlessly add the Favicon through your WordPress dashboard.  But bear in mind, in case your theme doesn’t provide that option, merely title your image  “favicon.ico”  (without the quotes) and submit it to your website hosting account.  Your Favicon will now appear next to your domain name.

If you don’t see your favicon you may need to clear your cache.

Affiliate Program Software – Series Part 1 Overview

I thought I’d post an overview of what we will be talking about here. As I said in my last post 97% of the people that do affiliate marketing fail and I’ve been told that I’m wrong and that it’s closer to 99%.

Now, if that is depressing information for you then you need to work on your mindset. Because what you will be learning here will put you into the 1% group putting you and your efforts way above your competition.

There are 5 things you must do. Get any one of these 5 wrong and you will most likely fail with your campaign.

1. ACTION – Ya, that’s a no brainer but you’d be surprised at how many people download how-to eBooks and systems onto their hard drives and never open them. They just sit there collecting virtual dust. So yes, you must approach this as a business not a hobby and apply action.
2. Relevance
3. Traffic
4. Competition
5. Commerciality

Items 2 through 5 above are in reference to Keyword Research and this is where most people drop the ball because it takes day sometimes weeks to do all the research. However, there is a new tool out there that will gather all this information and more with just a few clicks.

The down side of this tool, as an affiliate marketer, is there is no affiliate program for this tool as of yet. The tool, Market Samurai, is still in beta testing, version .86, but when they come out with the full blown package there will be an affiliate program for us to offer. Now the good news is that Market Samurai is in beta form so it’s being offered at a lower price then what the finished product will cost and they also offer a 14 day free trial.

Just for future reference; any product I mention or offer, I personal own and use. I don’t recommend products I haven’t used or liked. From time to time I will mention a product that I haven’t used just to keep you informed but I’ll clearly state that fact. And yes, most of my links are affiliate links because, I’m an affiliate marketer. You want to start a home business or just make some money online? There is a ton of ways to go about this but what is the fastest and easiest way ?

Whether you’re new to internet marketing or been around a few years the easiest and fastest way is affiliate marketing (done right of course).  Affiliate marketing is when you sell someone else’s product. You don’t need to come up with a product yourself and you don’t need to come up with a great sales page, the product owners do all of that heavy work.

What you do is send targeted buyers to their sales page and when they buy, you get a commission somewhere around 5% to 100%. All the products are different of course but you’ll find 75% commission to be quite common, in other words if the item sells for $49 you receive $36.75 for your efforts.

Sounds easy? Then why do 97% fail at affiliate marketing? Because they go about it all wrong! They buy crappy how-to ebooks and old systems that may have worked great in their day but no longer.

What I’m going to start posting about here is cutting edge and sometimes bleeding edge information on how to do affiliate marketing correctly, so you will be in the 3% that make money in affiliate marketing.

Now, I’d love to take all the credit for the information I’m going to share with you here but the truth is two guys I follow, Kelly and Mike both have 7 & 8 figure incomes doing affiliate marketing  and they are the ones I’m learning from.

I’m going to start out at the very beginning so that new people to affiliate marketing don’t get left behind.
